Gone are the days of mindless knick knacks, useless gifts people will never use, and crap no one wants!

Keep reading to get some of my top recommendations for gifts this holiday season. These are all things that are health conscious, useful, and definitely won’t be collecting dust in a random cabinet somewhere.

Aroma Therapy

Regular candles are a thing of the past…Candles contain petroleum (aka oil…) that pollute our indoor air and have been shown to cause health issues like __. Plus there are added chemical fragrances to candles that can disrupt your hormones (estrogen, progesterone, thyroid hormones) and trigger conditions like migraines and asthma.

I mean, who doesn’t love a good candle? Make sure you get a candle that has natural wax (soy or bees wax) and scents from essential oils. My favorites include:

  1. Saje Natural Wellness Forest Glow Candle, grab yours here

  2. NOTES Candles that are a natural and refillable candle to reduce waste

Essential oils and diffusers are another favorite when it comes to aroma therapy. I love using the Tree Scents from Saje to get my house smelling like Christmas during this time of year. Shopping for someone who is always stressed? One of my favorites, Deep Breath, is a great way to relax and unwind at the end of a crazy day and is perfect for someone who needs to slow down. You can never go wrong with a great essential oil and a diffuser.

Here is a round up of a few more of my favorites:

Tea Lovers

Every tea lover needs a mug they can use for loose leaf tea. Those little mesh balls are great, but if you’ve ever used them, you know they’re kind of a pain in the butt to clean.

My favorite tea cup is the Tea Forte ceramic cup with the infuser basket and lid. Why is the lid important? When you’re infusing herbs into tea like peppermint, a lot of the volatile oils, which contain medicinal properties end up evaporating into the air. If you don’t have a lid on your tea while steeping, then these medicinal components will be lost to the air and you won’t get the benefits of them (like helping with bloating!)

It can be hard to find quality loose leaf tea, one of my favorites is The Loose Leaf from San Diego, they have some great blends and ship around the country. You can also get herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs and make your own blend!

Self Care

Let’s round up some of the top self care items you can give this holiday season. No matter who you’re giving gifts to this season, you know they can use a little self care in their life this winter!

Kitchen Must-Haves

Teflon pans and PFAS have been big in the news this year. If you follow me on social media, you’ve seen my post about how PFAS are in teflon pans, they’re bad for your immune system, mess with your thyroid, and can even contribute to cancer. But another article recently came out stating that over 9,000 PFAS particles are released from one single scratch on a non stick teflon pan…9,000!!!

Give the gift of non toxic cookware.

My go-to recommendations are below:

  • Cast iron pans - it can be scary if you’re a newbie, but there are a ton of youtube videos on how to care and cook with these pans!

  • Stainless steel pans - they take a bit to get used to, but I promise, they’re worth it!

  • Glass tupperware - these can go in the dishwasher, microwave, and you can put hot food in here without worry of the leeching of BPA (a hormone disruptor!)

What other gifts are you thinking of getting for your loved ones this year? I would love to know! Send me a DM on instagram.

Happy Shopping bestie!
